Spiritual Preparation Materials for the Bicentennial
During the bicentennial year, Bishop Knestout is encouraging the faithful to revisit and renew their commitment to evangelization particularly through the Diocesan Pastoral Plan, Encounter the Joy of the Gospel and Set the World Ablaze (2014). With the bicentennial focus on the themes of communion and mission, evangelization teams are encouraged to renew their work within their local communities.
Resources will periodically be made available through this website to assist individuals, along with parish and school communities, to spiritual prepare for the bicentennial commemoration.

Encounter the voices of Migrants and Refugees
“Encounter the Voices of Migrants and Refugees” is a multicultural program designed by the Office of Ethnic Ministries to create a space of encounter that brings the lives of our newest friends close to you. The goal is to form common bonds in an atmosphere of understanding and dialogue, allowing for the construction of something new and dynamic through the Holy Spirit, contributing to the richness of our faith, and allowing us to “shine like stars in the world.”
This program includes materials that can either be used as
- The foundation for a small-group reflection activity:
Encounter the Voices of Migrants and Refugees Booklet
- Or, with the assistance of the Office of Ethnic Ministries, can be set up as an exhibit at your church. If your parish is interested in displaying the exhibit, download the Migrant and Refugee Display Request Form by clicking here and submit it to Araceli Perez, aperez@richmonddiocese.org.
