As the culmination of our bicentennial celebration, the Diocese of Richmond will host its first Eucharistic Congress, which will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Instead of gathering at the Greater Richmond Convention Center as planned, we will organize a series of synchronized events in parishes, and speakers will give online presentations. More details will be forthcoming, but please continue to reserve this date.
A Eucharistic Congress is a gathering of clergy, religious, and laity to bear witness to the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. This event will bring together clergy, religious, and laity from parishes, schools, and campus ministries from across the Diocese of Richmond.
The Congress includes a Eucharistic Procession through the streets of downtown Richmond, a Holy Hour, the celebration of Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, engaging national speakers, and other devotions.
